Who we are...

Idlebuyer.co.uk was established by London based husband and wife team Alex Turner and Alison Carmichael.

Both from highly creative backgrounds - Alison is a hand lettering artist (www.alisoncarmichael.com) and Alex is a graphic designer - they share a common interest and enjoyment in the internet and on-line shopping. This was what provided the inspiration behind the development and subsequent launch of idlebuyer.co.uk.

Frustrated by the increasing lack of boutique shops and products on our high streets, they began to cherish those websites that provided access to bespoke and unique products.

Exercising their creative flair, they developed a simply designed website that gave quick and easy access to these shops and products. It proved to be such a success with their family and friends that in September 2006, Alex and Alison decided to share their collection of treasured finds and launched idlebuyer.co.uk

And it didn't stop there. Thanks to their unrelenting dedication to the website, idlebuyer.co.uk now boasts a refreshing collection of over 800 shops.

Alex and Alison continue to update and share any new finds on an almost daily basis.
